Letter From The CEO / President: Hello! I'm Shawan DP Jackson, the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Sheridan Patterson, Ctr. for Holistic Family Services, Inc. (SPC) By profession I am a Psychotherapist, MS, LPC, NCC, MS. The Sheridan Patterson, Ctr. for Holistic Family Services, Inc. is a minority non-profit, 501 (c) (3) human services firm specializing in a holistic approach to provide psycho-spiritual psychological and psychiatric services, primarily serving special needs children and their families. SPC is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, and was founded in May 1996, as The Gregory Foundation, Inc. I have twenty-nine years of service as a clinician, specializing in individual, family, groups and couples therapy. My professional career is as Administrator, Clinician, Trainer, Consultant and Public Speaker. I have extensive experience in budget and program management, more specifically in child and family services, with a specialization in Therapeutic Foster Care. I have provided consultation and training nationally in the areas of program development, quality assurance, with specialty training in professional staff development, parenting skills, conflict resolution, mediation, effective communication, cultural competency, spirituality, stress management and team building. I have several scholar publications, "Of Mind, Body and Spirit" and "NTU, An Afrocentric Approach to Therapeutic Foster Care." I was the former President of the Graduate Psychology Association at the University of Baltimore, Who's Who Among Human Services Professionals, a member of Psi Chi Honor Society, National Association for Female Executives, American Counselors Association and The Association for Black Psychologist. I serve on civic boards and I am an active participant in my community. In 1973, I founded Flair Dance Studio, a minority owned and operated dance school. The Sheridan Patterson, Ctr. for Holistic Family Services mission is, "to make sure all that we do is to benefit others, that we might benefit too, and to make a solid contribution to the lives of others, making a contribution to our own lives as well." Sheridan Patterson Center for Holistic Family Services, Inc. (SPC) is a private, non-profit agency providing services to children and families throughout the Baltimore Metropolitan area. Founded in 1996, the agency’s mission is “To make sure all that we do is to benefit others, that we might benefit too and to make a solid contribution to the lives of others, making a contribution to our own lives as well”. This mission is accomplished through the operation of building programs such as, Treatment Foster Care, Maternity/Mother Baby Workforce Development, and Young Leaders Academy/Rites of Passage. Within these programs, clinical services are offered. They include but are not limited to individual, family, and group therapy, tutoring, psychological and psychiatric consultations and evaluations.

The agency provides an array of health services from a psychospiritual approach, treating the Mind, Body and Spirit through innovative treatment interventions that embrace both the cultural and spiritual you in a sequestered, harmonious, balanced environment, your perfect place for optimum wellness care.
